He hails from Rainsville, AL, in neighboring DeKalb County, just a short drive up I-59.  His background includes 4 terms in the Alabama House of Representatives from Dekalb, and a career in Education that spanned over 30 years with the immediate past 19 years at Jacksonville State University.  Ralph has resided in Etowah County for over 15 years.  He is quick to say, “This is home now”.  He enjoys church activities – particularly service projects, an occasional round of golf, and all sports in JSU Gamecocks Athletics.
